Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgery is a general term for operative manual and instrumental treatment which is performed for functional or aesthetic reasons. There are two broad fields which differ primarily on their objectives - Reconstructive and Cosmetic. Reconstructive surgery focuses on undoing or masking the destructive effects of trauma, burn, surgery or disease and improving the function of the affected body parts. Meanwhile, Cosmetic (or aesthetic) surgery is most often performed in order to change features the patient finds unflattering and to augment his/her appearance.The following are the more common cosmetic surgical procedures:
