Choosing the Right Surgeon

Unfortunately, here in the Philippines, the law is lenient regarding its guidelines of who are allowed to do Plastic Surgery Procedures. I know you will be shock when I tell you that any person with a medical license or who passed the Physician's Licensure Examination can do this procedure even without sufficient training. So, your safeguard to a safer and satisfying transformation can be ensured only by you by following these tips:

  1. Learn about the procedures that interest you.
  2. Learn about and verify your selected surgeon's qualifications and experience. This is the most important. Be sure to check his affiliations and the plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery societies he is a member of.
  3. Ask questions.
  4. Get second opinions.
  5. Talk to other plastic surgery patients.
  6. View before and after pictures.
  7. Get referrals from friends and family if possible.
  8. Learn what to expect before, during, and after your desired procedure.
  9. Evaluate your motivations, goals, and expectations of plastic surgery.

Doing these things will help to ensure that your plastic surgery experience is an overwhelming success!
